For the first time in my life, I will not be in Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving or Christmas. It is rather bittersweet. I have (along with my wife) created a life here in the Poconos. It is a very nice life and I am really very happy with it. This weekend, Emily and I will be getting the house fixed up for the holidays. We are having a full cord of wood delivered tomorrow morning. I really look forward to having cozy fires in the fireplace. I will be setting up the christmas tree and putting up some lights. We have some other decorations that we will be putting out as well. This is the joy of being our own family unit. We decide when to set up decorations. Yes , its a little early, but quite honestly, we have both been a little stressed and life has been a little cruel lately so I think making the house up for Christmas is just what the doctor would order.
Everyone around here has been under the weather lately and I afraid emily
has caught the bug that's going around. I hate it when she is sick cause I hate seeing her in any pain.
I talked to my mother today. She said that she is thinking of coming up this winter with jessa for some skiing. I really hope they come, it would really make me feel great to have them visit.
